Biography
Jonathan E. Goldberg is a distinguished trial attorney with a deep understanding of medical malpractice law—gained from both sides of the courtroom. For over a decade, he defended healthcare providers in complex malpractice litigation. Today, he brings that rare insight to his plaintiff-focused practice, representing individuals and families harmed by medical negligence across Maryland.
A Baltimore native, Mr. Goldberg earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Maryland, College Park, in 1988, and his law degree magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law in 1991, where he served on the Law Review. His career reflects both scholarly rigor and a hands-on approach to high-stakes litigation.
Mr. Goldberg has held leadership roles within the legal profession, including serving as co-chair of the Medical Malpractice Subcommittee of the Health Law Section of the American Bar Association. He is frequently invited to speak on malpractice law throughout Maryland, sharing legal strategies and developments with both peers and future practitioners.
His dual-background as both defense and plaintiff’s counsel gives him an unmatched edge in courtroom strategy and medical-legal analysis. His selection as one of America’s Top Attorneys by MyLegalWin in 2025 reflects his ongoing excellence and commitment to justice for injured patients.
