Carlos Perez-Mesa, Jr.

Carlos D. Perez-Mesa, Jr. is a veteran civil litigator with an active trial practice spanning New Jersey and Hawaii since 1986. Over the course of his career, he has tried dozens of jury and bench trials to verdict in state and federal courts and participated in over 300 arbitrations and mediations — building one of the most diverse and seasoned litigation track records in his field. His practice covers a broad range of civil matters: products liability, construction law, employment discrimination, personal injury, Americans with Disabilities Act cases, environmental law, automobile and slip and fall accidents, Title VII civil rights law, and workers' compensation. He also handles private arbitrations and mediations involving auto cases, sexual harassment, age discrimination, wrongful discharge, racial discrimination, and condominium association disputes. Before entering private practice, Perez-Mesa served as a law clerk to Judge Nicholas Mandak in Passaic County, New Jersey, and spent seven years as a trial attorney for AIG's Staff Counsel's office in Honolulu — gaining extensive defense-side experience that now informs his advocacy. He has three successful published Hawaii Supreme Court opinions and is admitted to practice in both New Jersey and Hawaii.
