Zachary Kitton

Zachary Kitton has spent his entire legal career at Miller & Caggiano, LLP, where he started as a law student and stayed on. He joined the firm full time in 2015, after learning the mechanics of workers' compensation practice there while completing his degree.

His academic path reflects the same drive. After graduating from the University at Albany in 2013, Mr. Kitton attended the Touro College Jacob D. Fuchsberg Law Center, where he accelerated his studies through additional winter and summer coursework and an expanded academic load, graduating a full semester early in 2015. That timing allowed him to sit for and pass the February 2016 New York State Bar Examination, the final administration of the traditional exam before New York adopted the Uniform Bar Exam.

Mr. Kitton began his career in the firm's settlement department, negotiating directly with insurance carriers to secure the highest possible settlement values for clients. That grounding in settlement economics now informs his hearing practice, where he has represented a remarkable volume of injured workers pursuing maximum benefits, whether medical treatment such as surgery and physical therapy or indemnity benefits that keep households afloat. He knows what a claim is worth, and he knows how to prove it.

His work has drawn recognition beyond the courtroom. In 2017, Mr. Kitton was honored among Long Island's Young Professionals, an award extended to just 30 individuals under the age of 30 for notable impact on their business, industry, and community. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Nassau County Bar Association, the Suffolk County Bar Association, and the Injured Workers' Bar Association.
