Lou has lived in North Carolina his entire life having been raised in Fayetteville. He received his undergraduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and his law degree from Campbell University. He served as an assistant district attorney in Mecklenburg County before joining a growing civil litigation defense firm in 2001, beginning his workers’ compensation practice, representing employers and insurance companies, going on to become a partner in what is now a large multi-state civil litigation firm.

In 2008, Lou started working with a personal injury firm, where he managed the Charlotte office, and helped injured employees with their workers’ compensation claims.

Lou is an active member of his community, involved in various organizations to include his church, the Mecklenburg County Bar and coaching youth sports.
