Artemus W. Ham, IV

Artemus W. Ham, IV is a partner and co-founder of Adams & Ham Trial Lawyers in Las Vegas, where he concentrates on product liability, mass torts, class actions, personal injury, and airplane crash litigation. A fourth-generation Nevadan and third-generation lawyer, Ham continues a family legal legacy notable enough that an "Artemus Ham" has been an active member of the State Bar of Nevada in every decade for the past century. Ham earned his B.A. in political science from Santa Clara University and his J.D. from Creighton University School of Law in 1999, passing the Nevada bar the same year. He began his career with an internship at the Clark County District Attorney's office, then clerked for Judge Michael A. Cherry, who later served as a Justice of the Nevada Supreme Court. He went on to practice at Harrison, Kemp & Jones, became a partner at the Cobeaga Tomlinson firm, and built a successful solo practice before joining Eglet Adams, where he spent fifteen years handling complex litigation. He co-founded Adams & Ham with longtime friend and law partner Robert Adams. His representative matters include State of Nevada v. Purdue Pharma — the firm reports he was instrumental in obtaining a $1.2 billion opioid settlement on behalf of Nevada and its cities and counties — as well as Sheppard v. Mandalay Bay and Morsicato v. Sav-On Drug Stores. He is admitted before the Supreme Court of Nevada, the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His recognitions include the American Association for Justice's Top 100 Trial Lawyers (2010–2014) and VerdictSearch's Top 100 Verdicts of 2011, and he is a member of the Million-Dollar and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forums.
