Frances Seman came to the law after more than a decade as a teacher, and that classroom experience shapes how she practices family law today. Born in Florida and raised in El Campo, Texas, Ms. Seman earned her bachelor's degree in Art and Performance from the University of Texas at Dallas and master's degrees in Theatre and Teaching from Texas Woman's University, then spent eleven years in the classroom from 2007 to 2018. Teaching taught her how to listen, how to translate complexity, and how to stay composed under pressure. Family law clients benefit from all three every day. Ms. Seman graduated from the University of North Texas at Dallas College of Law in 2022, working in tax audit defense and estate planning while completing her degree. She then chose to begin her practice where the need was greatest, serving at Legal Aid of Northwest Texas from 2023 to 2024 and providing family law representation to indigent clients across the region. Her subsequent tenure at one of Texas's premier family law firms sharpened her litigation skills further, and in 2025 she was named to Lawdragon's 500 X, The Next Generation list, a national recognition of the country's most promising next wave of legal talent. Today Ms. Seman practices family law with the Manuel Diaz Law Firm, a statewide Texas practice known for aggressive, results-driven representation, where she handles the matters that touch families most deeply: divorce, custody, support, and protection of children's interests. Her professional engagement runs deep. She is a member of the Texas Bar College, an honor society for attorneys committed to continuing legal education, along with the Higginbotham Inn of Court, the Dallas Bar Association, the State Bar of Texas, and the American Bar Association. Her selection as a 2026 Top Attorney in America recognizes an advocate whose path through the classroom, legal aid, and elite family law practice has produced something rare: a litigator clients trust and understand.
